Hi, my name is Mary Silva and I am very excited to enter my fifth year with the swim program as one of the Assistant Coaches. I absolutely love being a part of this program, I love working with the students and watching them strive to meet their personal goals. You will find me most meets behind the blocks very loudly motivating the swimmers, or helping calm their nerves before their heat. Swimming has been a big part of my life; I started my swimming journey at age 3 and was on my first swim team competing at age 4! I was the smallest and youngest one on the team and swam in circles but once in a while I managed to place in my races. I went into the archives and found a photo of me circa 1984 for your amusement. A little bit about me, I am a training manager for Amazon, and an adjunct communications professor at EMCC. I have one son who just graduated from JP2 this past May, and will be off to college all the way in Illinois. I am looking forward to the upcoming season, and excited to get to know you all. GO LIONS!
