Activities and Club

Clubs and service activities are driven primarily by student interest and willingness to lead. Students are encouraged to bring their ideas and energy to start the clubs and activities that they want to explore. Become the leaders and founders of the clubs of St. John Paul II.

¡Empecemos nuestras tradiciones!

Drama Club

The Drama Club will perform one or more full-length theatrical productions during the school year. Inspired by our patron, St. John Paul II, the actor, our cast and crew will allow the Theater of the Word to teach us our place in God’s play, Salvation History. We will strive to act well, on stage and morally. Our first play is by the Bard, A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

The Pancake Club

The Pancake Club allows for students that arrive early on Tuesday late start days to receive free pancakes. The pancakes are cooked by the students for other students. They not only learn valuable cooking lessons but serve one another in community.

Schola Club

The St. John Paul II Catholic High School “Schola Cantorum” (known as Schola) is a “school of singers” who prepare music for our weekly school masses. We primarily specialize in singing liturgical music, including Gregorian chant, hymns, and polyphony. The goals of the club include: education in the Catholic Church’s tradition of sacred music; development of reading skills in music (both Western music notation and Gregorian chant); gaining confidence in vocal performance; and, most of all, fostering a spirit of prayer at Mass for ourselves and those in the congregation.

Student Ambassadors

Student Ambassadors are students that show leadership and represent the JPII in activities throughout the diocese. They visit catholic elementary schools to share their experiences with future Lions and are part of giving tours during open house.

Totus Tuus Social Justice Club

Totus Tuus is a club that seeks to serve those most in need such as the unborn, the elderly, and the poor.
