Activities and Club
Clubs and service activities are driven primarily by student interest and willingness to lead. Students are encouraged to bring their ideas and energy to start the clubs and activities that they want to explore. Become the leaders and founders of the clubs of St. John Paul II.
¡Empecemos nuestras tradiciones!
The Drama Club will perform one or more full-length theatrical productions during the school year. Inspired by our patron, St. John Paul II, the actor, our cast and crew will allow the Theater of the Word to teach us our place in God’s play, Salvation History. We will strive to act well, on stage and morally. Our first play is by the Bard, A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
The Pancake Club
The Pancake Club allows for students that arrive early on Tuesday late start days to receive free pancakes. The pancakes are cooked by the students for other students. They not only learn valuable cooking lessons but serve one another in community.
“Schola Cantorum” (simply known as "Schola") is a “school of singers” who meet weekly to prepare music for our school masses. We will primarily specialize in singing liturgical music, including Gregorian chant, hymns, and polyphony. The goals of the club include: education in the Catholic Church’s tradition of sacred music; development of reading skills in music (both Western music notation and Gregorian chant); gaining confidence in vocal performance; and, most of all, fostering a spirit of prayer at Mass for ourselves and those in the congregation.
