JP2 Summer Camps for Kids

JP2 Summer Camps is a summer program designed to give kids ages 5 - 14 an opportunity to have fun while learning. Campers experience St. John Paul II's academics, athletics, and fine arts programs while interacting with JP2 faculty, students, and coaches. 

Camp Hours: There will be two sessions for camps.  

Session 1: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Session 2: 12:30pm - 3:30pm

Before and After-Care: JP2 Summer Camps is happy to offer before and after-care from 8:00am - 9:00am and 3:30 pm - 4:00 pm.

Camps will run Monday - Friday beginning on June 2, 2025 and end on June 27, 2025.

Registration: Registration is not complete until payment is received. A camp T-shirt is included in the camp fee. A medical and media release form for each camper must be completed as well.  The grade level for camps is the grade a child enters in August 2025.

Camp Options include:

Week 1 (June 2 - 6) 
Session 1 options: Football (boys 5th-8th), Drumline Camp (4th-8th)
Session 2 options: Drama Camp (Week 1 & 2, two week camp) (3rd-8th)

Week 2 (June 9 - 13) 
Session 1 options: Chess, Music Technology (4th-8th)
Session 2 options: Drama Camp (continued from week 1)

Week 3 (June 16 - 20)
Session 1 options: Drumline Camp (4th-8th), Basketball (5th-8th)
Session 2 options: Drama Camp ( Week 3 & 4, two week camp) (3rd-8th), Volleyball (4th-8th)

Week 4 (June 23 - 27) 
Session 1 options: Music Technology (4th-8th), Flag Football (4th-8th)
Session 2 options: Drama Camp (continued from week 3), Dance Camp (K-8th)

Cost: $150 per session or $300 for the full day.

Week 1

Football (boys 5th-8th)
Campers will work on skills like passing, receiving, blocking, and tackling, while building teamwork and sportsmanship. Our experienced coaches provide personalized instruction and guidance in both drills and scrimmages. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced player, this camp is the perfect opportunity to improve your game and have a blast!

Drumline Camp (4th-8th)
Learn the fundamentals of reading rhythm notation while learning various beats and cadences as part of an ensemble that will encompass a variety of percussion instruments culminating in a performance for families and friends on the last day of camp.

Drama Camp (3rd-8th) Two Week Camp
JPII Drama Camp: Be immersed into the world of acting and stage production through St. John Paul II's first ever grade school drama camp! Campers will learn how to bring a character to life on stage from JPII's own Drama Club staff and current JPII students. This is a 2-week camp experience culminating in a performance for families and friends on the last day of camp. Open to students leaving 3rd grade and going into 4th grade through students leaving 7th grade going into 8th grade.

Week 2

Music Technology (4th-8th)
Learn how to use MIDI instruments (a digital language for generating musical instrument sounds) in a Digital Audio Workstation like a real audio engineer! Students will learn the basics of music production in a studio setting in JP2's own digital media lab. Students must provide wired stereo headphones (required) and may optionally bring a USB flash drive that would allow them to keep a copy of their project(s) at the end of the camp.

Chess Camp (5th-8th)
young players can sharpen their strategic thinking and problem-solving skills in a fun, coed environment. Campers will learn new chess techniques, improve their game, and participate in friendly competitions. Our experienced coaches will guide players through engaging lessons, puzzles, and live matches. Whether you're a beginner or experienced player, this camp is the perfect place to level up your chess skills and have a great time!

Drumline Camp (4th-8th)

Basketball Camp (5th-8th)
Our Coed Basketball Camp for 5th-8th graders is designed for players of all skill levels—beginner, intermediate, and advanced. The camp focuses on improving basketball fundamentals while emphasizing fun and personal development. Campers will work on skills like shooting, dribbling, passing, and defense in a supportive and engaging environment. With a mix of drills, games, and team-building activities, each participant will have the chance to grow, improve, and enjoy the game in a positive setting.

Drama Camp (Two week camp)(3rd-8th)

Dance Camp (K-8th)
We would like to welcome K-8th graders to the 2025 JP2 Dance Camp from June 23 - 27. Campers will be accompanied by the JP2 dance students throughout the week as we share in community and prepare a 'surf-crazy' performance! Hang-10 with us this summer!
