Great start to the season as the JV Lions kicked things off with a statement win last Thursday, outlasting a tough Heritage Academy Heroes squad in a thrilling, wire-to-wire battle. Freshman point guard Jacob Reyes set the tone early, controlling the offense with poise beyond his years while creating scoring opportunities for the entire team. On the defensive end, the Lions’ relentless, swarming defense became the story of the night, trapping, rotating, and forcing turnover after turnover that completely disrupted the Heroes’ rhythm. Every possession mattered, but the Lions’ grit down the stretch sealed the deal as they executed their sets with precision and confidence to secure a hard fought 45–40 victory. A true team win, and an incredible first step for this group. Onward and upward as the season is officially underway!
