Dear St. John Paul II Catholic High School Community,
As we begin this new week, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our entire school community for your understanding, compassion, and cooperation this past Friday. The outpouring of support from our students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of St. John Paul II Catholic High School has been deeply meaningful during a very difficult moment for our community.
Learning of Mr. Helland’s diagnosis has weighed heavily on our hearts. Yet even in the midst of such difficult news, I have witnessed the strength of our faith and the care we have for one another as a Catholic community. Your kindness, patience, and prayers have been a powerful reminder of the love that sustains us.
As we continue our journey through the season of Lent, the Church invites us to walk more closely with Christ, especially in moments of suffering and uncertainty. Lent reminds us that we are never alone in carrying our crosses. As a community of faith, we accompany one another with prayer, compassion, and hope in the promise of God’s presence.
I ask that you please continue to keep Mr. Helland and his family in your thoughts and prayers. May the Lord surround them with His peace, comfort, and strength in the days ahead.
Let us continue to support one another as a school community and entrust Mr. Helland to the loving care of our Lord.

Al comenzar esta nueva semana, quiero expresar mi sincero agradecimiento a toda nuestra comunidad escolar por su comprensión, apoyo y cooperación el pasado viernes. El apoyo que hemos recibido de nuestros estudiantes, padres de familia, maestros, personal, exalumnos y amigos de St. John Paul II Catholic High School ha significado mucho para todos nosotros en este momento tan difícil.
La noticia sobre el diagnóstico del Sr. Helland ha sido muy triste para nuestra comunidad. Sin embargo, aun en medio de esta situación, hemos visto la fuerza de nuestra fe y el cariño que existe entre todos nosotros como comunidad católica. Su paciencia, apoyo y oraciones han sido un gran consuelo.
Mientras continuamos en el tiempo de Cuaresma, la Iglesia nos invita a acercarnos más a Cristo, especialmente en los momentos de dolor y dificultad. La Cuaresma nos recuerda que no estamos solos cuando llevamos nuestras cruces. Como comunidad de fe, caminamos juntos con oración, compasión y esperanza en el amor de Dios.
Les pedimos que continúen manteniendo al Sr. Helland y a su familia en sus pensamientos y oraciones. Que el Señor los llene de paz, consuelo y fortaleza en los días que vienen.
Sigamos apoyándonos unos a otros como comunidad escolar y confiemos al Sr. Helland al amor y cuidado de nuestro Señor.
